Outside it's arctic blasts and gray skies, inside it's great music, warm bread and cool drinks.
A taste of what we've been filling our heads with as we enjoy these shorter days:
1. Winter Jams
This book is single handedly responsible for the beautiful fresh loaves we enjoy in our home/office.
Isn't she a beauty?! Citrusy, sweet, dry and bitter, this delightful cocktail is a prelude to spring in a glass.
1½ oz Empress 1908 Indigo Gin
¾ oz Luxardo Bitter Bianco
¾ oz Dry Vermouth
One thing that didn't come up in our conversation with Hollis was this recent video she posted on Instagram from a morning out in San Francisco Bay. People went nuts over this video - Outside Magazine even picked it up and shared it, which is how we first saw it. How cool?!
This couple is one of our favorite follows, inspiring us to be more thoughtful about how we shop, cook, eat and garden. They're currently documenting their winter challenge of eating only what they grew (in their community garden), hunted, or foraged near their home in Pittsburgh.
6. Affordable Art Fair New York
Speaking of affordable art, the annual Affordable Art Fair in New York City is coming up March 20 – 24, 2024. The fair showcases original contemporary artworks starting at $100.
